60 and Beyond Welcome 2019

60 and Beyond
Welcome 2019!!

Making big wishes for 2019

Big wishes, big dreams, and let the year begin!

The New Year is always an exciting time. I bring out my new calendar and start filling in all the important dates I don't want to miss and possibly parties I want to have and future appointments.
But this year I left it open.....I am inviting the universe to fill in my calendar with it's own intentions.
I'm asking to open new doors that I didn't knock on, meet new people that are out of my circle of friends and events that I haven't even thought of.
Yes, it's all going to be very exciting, full of promise and personal miracles, and victories.

My first book for 2019 is
 City Bakers :
guide to county living. Louise Miller

Culinary Adventure, sounds life fun.

My goal is to read more, I'm hoping to read 50 books this year. I read an article that said if I could read only 45 min. each day this goal is easily attainable. Of course, this will be an extra 45 mins that is set aside for only personal reading time. Not time spent of blogs, magazines or social media.
If you have been following me you will notice that this actually is my 5th book since I started my 50 book list in December.

This little book looks like something I should
consider.
Now, I like anything that has a count down. Do this for 28 days sound like a challenge I can handle.
I love the daily affirmations and each day can be read within minutes. Easy enough to read, we will see if I can actually put this to work. It sounds marvelous and yes I have it in paperback so I can write in the margins.

I am working the list of
100 ways to age with grace, elegance & joie de vivre
you can follow along with me if you like.

Number 11. Smile more, it's an instant facelife.
I took this very much to heart. I love to smile, I love to make other people smile too. In that vein I also learn to tell a few jokes to make people smile. But laugh lines on a women's face are no laughing matter!!
Here is what I do now to help with those little lines.
Yoga face exercises

Happy New Year!!

60 and beyond book list for 2019

60 and Bey ond Book List 2019 Welcome to my new blog.  As I'm now learning to live in my 60's and beyond , I thought I might need a little reminder to love myself, so I wrote myself a letter.  A Love Letter To Myself Love Yourself, by Jean Hart, artist  Figuring out who you are is not what you are here for. The world sees you. You are a good person, a true person and hold fast to that. You simply have to remove all the things from your life you are not. List them if you must, put them to past. You'll will find your true self under the clutter. Start with that brilliant smile. See how fast the strangers who pass you smile back. Join in and you will find your place. Begin today, don't hide your shine. Not now when the world needs you so much to smile at it. Be your own friend, I have seen how well you treat your friends. Your Friend Your True self I put on my vision board that I should read more intentionally.  That I should

Bring in some comedy and laughter to your life

60 and Beyond Welcome 2019!! It's spring here and just like the quote says, April showers brings May flowers.  I just added a new book to my list for this year.  One of my New Year resolutions was to laugh more. I wanted to be able to tell a joke or at the very least be better a storytelling.  I found this book, I'm sure it will help me do both of those things.  So how are you doing on your New Year's resolution?  I thought I would read 50 books this year and I must say, that it's harder then it sounds.  I'm scheduling time for reading and that has worked out nicely, but still I will be hard pressed to get 50 books in this year.  Oh no, I'm not giving up. I still have many books on my list I want to read.  Please enjoy this book, although it's not what you expected from me at 60 years and beyond.  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1566080037/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=1566080
